1. /week is pretty great in the face of /month? I mean, you're still being kept in grinding poverty but at least it's not only /month. But wait, isn't a month better than a year or a decade? By the way his argument it structured, as long as they are getting money they are at least benefiting it doesn't matter how screwed over they are. Thanks douche.

2. This guy thinks that the only way to eliminate sweatshop jobs is to not have them. So how are those shoes going to be made, huh? By people being paid living wages in low-stress environments? No? They just won't be around? Oh okay, thanks again.

3. Again, he goes back to this fucking ridiculous "some money is better than no money". Has he ever had a job that paid /week just to see how well he could live off that? Or shit, maybe he could just go with the federal minimum wage right here in the states and every night, while he lays down on his filthy mattress, he closes his eyes and thanks God for how he and his employers mutually benefit from him being taken advantage of.

When I subjected myself to them when it was in the hopper, one of them referred to taking issue with the obvious truth of this video as something like having nothing better to do than "criticize your betters."

Because not only does wealth equal free speech, it also is the only measure of a person's value that matters. Any attempt to scrutinize how said wealth was gained is being an uppity peasant communist class-warfare jerk...

Without sweatshops, the manufacturing cost of a Nike shoe would skyrocket into double digits, and their profit margin might drop to less than 90%. I just logged in to say that I honestly thought the title was "Top 3 Ways Sweatdrops Help The Poor Escape Poverty" and I was expecting some serious weeaboo shit.

I almost got fired from a gig once for getting into an argument with the client on set. He was a real Milton Friedman style dick who would not shut up about his politics.

My breaking point was when the silver spoon prick started telling me how the minimum wage was just a feel good law that actually hurt everyone because it just forced businesses to raise prices for everyone to make up for costs. (keep in mind this guy had a million dollar networth between his house and cars alone).

My first response was "What do you suppose happens to sales when minimum wage workers suddenly have more money?"

He started mumbling something about profits until he circled back to the original point that getting rid of the minimum wage would only help the poor by keeping prices down.

So finally I asked him if slavery was a golden age where everything was free.

His actual response:

"Well, you still had to pay for the slaves. They weren't free."
