"Everypony?"

I've been to a lot of conventions for comics, media, etc., and I've never heard the announcer-person ever patronize the crowd like that. Gaming cons never say crap like "will every 1up please take their extra lives and evacuate the building."

Of course, I've never been to PAX, where they might just emulate the Penny-Arcade comic and throw gasoline on the crowd while trying to make jokes about penises.

There's a fire going on, and they can't drop the 'everypony' bullshit. Love it!

Could they just be yelling at the guy filming this?

Is there some sort of fire safety rule where these announcements must alternate between a hysterical woman and a very calm man?

They're not smart enough to answer as humans, had they not said "everypony" they would have charged right back into the burning barn.

I was hoping the lights would be shut off, thrusting them into darkness, panic, and a stampede.
