Actually, the more I think about it, the idea of the "dip" being introduced early-third act does seem a little strange without a reference to turpentine as an anti-"toon" cleaning mechanism. I mean, as a kid, I just assumed it was the same as Nickelodeon Slime, and therefore universally bad. As an adult I realize, PERHAPS TOO LATELY SO, that it was an unreferenced plot device.
It's funny because you can clearly see his whole normal human face in the pig's mouth, so really he's just very upset that he is being forced to wear a very unstylish hat
yeah I remember the pig bonnet being in the trailer and then was confused when it didn't ever happen. There were also some scenes from the Addams Family movie that were in the trailer but ended up on the cutting room floor.
