Well, I don't know since I never played past the demo (which was awful). They just felt like they should belong to the game. Did anyone really give a shit about seeing this stuff outside the context of the game?

I played the demo and from what I could see the gameplay's biggest crime wasn't being awful. Awful has merits. People can learn from awful. Awful can be a unique or boundary pushing idea executed poorly. Awful can even gain a second life as something unintentionally funny. Awful can be memorable.
It was in the even worse category: competently mediocre. The gameplay isn't that bad but, it isn't doing anything exciting enough to make me want to recommend it to anyone. It feels safe. So it gets lost. Maybe beyond the demo Blade Kitten becomes an undiscovered cult-worthy title? I have a soft spot for game projects that don't hit on everyone's radar for being middle of the road, so I can only hope it is and we're all missing something.

Pope: This is what anime does to already poor language skills. You can tell when someone's idea of how people speak is shaped largely by translations from Japanese designed to fill a set amount of time determined by how many cels of animation a cartoon mouth has.
