"Obamanation (One Painting That Says It All)

I chose to use an undisclosed studio so I could paint privately, without interruption, to focus on the task of embedding in a single painting all the subtle, mindless, radical and dangerous atrocities of the Obama administration.

I am just one person, a citizen of this country using my first amendment rights to speak out through my art. This is my declaration that we have never had a president do more to harm our country than Barack Obama.

To those who scoff or wish to trivialize this painting, I challenge you... I DARE YOU... study the links of the various symbols and metaphors that you see. There are over 60 in the painting. No person can analyze this image and learn about these facts and still, in good conscience, vote for Obama in 2012.

I do not hate Obama, but I hate the fact that I had to paint this picture. Has the painting gone too far? I knew when I did this that most Obama supporters would reject what I have done. But as a Conservative, I'm fed up with the corruption in Washington. And I'm sick of the political correctness that has derailed our country!

My art is an expression of the times in which I live and people will know how Jon McNaughton felt about being alive in America in 2012.

What do you hope to accomplish?
Someone once said, "there is nothing more irritating than being awaken from a sound sleep"—I hope to wake up a few. If anyone is undecided about voting for Obama, please study the painting, take the challenge, share it with your friends and help us to expose this man and vote him out of office this November.

Are you doing this for the money?
No. I paint what is important to me, but I know there are many who feel the same as I do about Obama. I am a professional artist. I make my living providing a service and I get paid to do it. The vast majority who view my work never pay a nickel. They pass it around on the Internet with their friends or see it on someone's wall.

This is just propaganda.
It seems funny that when a liberal artist paints a political motif it is called artistic expression, but when a conservative does the same thing critics call it "propaganda." When I think of propaganda I think of early twentieth century war posters commissioned by the Nazis and Communist regimes. It usually conveys a negative meaning, so I know why my critics like to use it to describe me. But I am not the government! I am simply one individual, a citizen of this country using my first amendment rights to speak out through my art.

Do you think this is art?
What is art? There are many certified art experts who would love to tell you the answer. Their opinions mean little to me because I only paint to satisfy my desire to share a message. For me, art has a way of communicating both thoughts and feelings that words fail to adequately express. If my art causes another to think and to feel, it is a success. I use metaphor and symbol because it leaves more for the viewer to discover, but for the few who choose to take the time to study I have the interactive website where I meticulously explain my images. I paint realistically because it communicates to the broadest audience. I paint political and religious subject because they are close to my heart. Whether someone from the history books could have painted it better means nothing to me. My art is an expression of the times in which I live and people will know how Jon McNaughton felt about being alive at this time in our history.

I know the dude was explaining his silly picture, but as soon as I read the word "Obamanation" my brain instantly replaced everything with the song Power. When your brain protects you by making you hear Kanye West, you know some stupid shit is happening.

Only 3 stars cause it's not as epic as his huge annotated painting of everything that's wrong with America, plus the executive bribing Obama to sell CFLs (?) looks a lot like Mitt Romney which I have to assume is a huge mistake. Bad move, ultraconservative painter! Bad move!

Obama and Holder have both refused to prosecute all the radical American muslims and black people who have committed hate crimes against white people.

The Christmas tree is decorated with the flags of Kenya, Turkey and Egypt and the symbols of the Muslim Brotherhood, the star of Islam and a picture of Chairman Mao. Seriously.

Osama Bin Laden was caught using information obtained by waterboarding suspects.

That insane sheriff from Arizona really did prove Obama's birth certificate is a forgery.

The caption for Mitt Romney mentions "the pending war with Iran" so apparently John is on board with us having another middle eastern war.

Obama has "blocked the Republican Congress" on budget plans, because apparently our legislative system now works in reverse.

Obama was out of line to launch airstrikes in support of the Libyan rebels because it ceded US sovereignty to the UN, which Obama apparently "appointed himself chairman" of.

Jeremiah Wright is represented by a chicken.

The "You didn't build that" attack is represented by, of all things, a SUSPENSION BRIDGE, apparently implying that such massive infrastructure projects are actually built by small business owners.

There is a toilet to represent the classlessness of his humorous speeches at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, including his vicious attacks on private citizen Donald Trump!

There is a crying soldier eating a slice of wedding cake with two groom statues on top of it. Apparently it tastes like sodomy.

This whole thing is truly fantastic.

i want this guy to do a old fashioned medieval-style triptych with like "the good old days" on one panel with a happy white family playing in a park while the founding fathers look on proudly, "the battle for america" in the middle with various conservative figures like sarah palin and ron paul fist-fighting wild eyed liberals, and "the end of freedom" in the last panel where obama sits on a skeletal horse and oversees the unholy extermination of american citizens; in one small corner the shade of andrew breitbart weeps.

You know how The Onion is rolling out those clips of the editorial cartoonist aggressively explaining every ounce of symbolism in his hamhanded cartoons? I want one of those with McNaughton and one of his paintings.

Behold the result of years upon years of exclusive exposure to punditry.

The abdication of Nixon was the first of many traumatic moments for this subculture, leading, ultimately, to the one chance they had to get "revenge": Monica Lewinsky. Surely, they said, this ought to shut them up about it. We'll be able to get back to that Nelson Rockefeller moderate stuff, this conservatism fad is just locked in until we can get ours back for Deep Throat. Lewinsky came and went, Clinton didn't, then came the election of 2000. The unsatisfied rage of 30 years came to a boiling point. It wasn't enough for Bush to win by a simple Supreme Court decision... that it wasn't a monumental landslide was so fracturing to the collective psyche of the tribe that all hope was lost. 9/11 ultimately broke their minds so deeply and so permanently that nothing, nothing short of a purge unseen since Mao, will cleanse us of the psychosis. I hate to say it but it's true.

This is a lot of effort to basically just say "I am so blinded by racial hatred that I can't see how Obama is a moderate Republican."
