God, yes. When I heard that line of bullshit about "wanting Obama to succeed," I went from neutral to incandescent with rage in seconds. It was just such a staggeringly huge lie, so transcendently revisionist. I couldn't even articulate words for a few seconds, just sit there speechless.
It's a carry-over from their other lie, "The Democrats want Bush to fail."
They (and others) wanted Bush to STOP what he was doing, not "fail," since that's what his policies did on their own (for everyone but his pals, of course). Wanting something to fail requires stuff like the GOP in the Senate filibustering a record number of times, moving the goalposts, and calling "do what we want or else" a form of negotiation.
For all their lip-service to anti-Communism (or whatever other historical "bad thing" they really don't comprehend), they revise history better than an army of Soviet textbook editors.
I probably have psychiatric issues that prohibit me from watching Mitt's speech in the raw. I know from many experiences with elections that it would send me into a downward spiral of hopelessness for days or even weeks.
Good thing I have Daily show to digest this vomit in advance for me and give it to me in a dose small enough for my fragile ego to withstand.
