I'm sure the US will get a pitance in land mineral rights leases, until it's refunded at tax time as a business expense.

That old lady looked extremely dangerous.

In order for a real economic recovery to begin, corporations need to see the exploitation of America's people and resources as a competitive alternative to exploiting people and resources overseas.

Capital flight laws, though it's probably too late to do that without force, plus a high high high capital gains and personal income tax rate on the wealthy to encourage reinvestment (at least 70%) and throw in a sprinkle of workplace democracy on top.

Of course, we'll never get any of that without massive organizing and fighting tooth and nail, so we're basically fucked.

Not to mention the GOP "drill, baby, drill" does nothing for fuel prices, and they continue to lie their asses off claiming that it will.

They seem to conveniently ignore that there's a thing called the World Oil Market. Unless they want to restrict oil/gas sales to the U.S. from domestic sources, the world will set the price, and we couldn't produce enough oil to make a dent in world production.

Secondly, the U.S. exports gasoline. Voters that think the Keystone pipeline will solve everything they think is wrong with fueling their SUVs might want to look into why unleaded produced here is being sent across the ocean.

Okay, I agree that eminent domain in this case was extremely heavy handed and I am completely on the side of the land owners.

But this reporter is a complete twat. Every sentence out of his mouth sounds like a caricature of liberalism. Do I like large corporations? Not on the whole, no... but if you're going to convince anyone you can't go around sounding like that hipster that bothers me in front of Starbucks. Present the facts, but leave the dripping 'big oil, corporations, billionaires" talk out of it. We all know how big oil operates. Just tell us what they're doing.

I think you need to research what Russia Today, the source of this video, is.

This guy sounds way too much like Michael Moore to be take seriously.

Two stars because the subject matter is still pretty evil.
