when i was in NY they were the size of groundhogs but yeah, too big for a mouse and the tail is way too long

Our old house had a little window right over the toilet in the hall bathroom. Mom would leave the window open for the cat to go out and come in as he pleased.

One morning as I went to the bathroom to prepare for school, I looked down and saw a dead squirrel looking up at me. With his fluffy tail wet, he looked just like a rat.

I figured the cat had tried to bring his catch in through the window and, after dropping it in the bowl, decided he didn't want it back.

I had a cat who liked to arrange dead rodents near the fence in straight parallel lines. To this day I don't know why he did it and what he was trying to "say" or accomplish. It was really creepy of him.
