I had no idea what a "Tulpa" was. After a half hour of reading, all I can gather is that it's something the Slenderman people made up.

It was an idea that was around back in the days of Crowley and I imagine several hucksters used it as a scheme akin to "wish it want it do it" style shit to fleece suckers. Basically, you believe and pour your thought into the idea of an imaginary person hard enough and presto: they become real.
