Every time I watch a mantis video I either find myself thinking "Oh god, don't eat its head!" or "Oh god, please just start eating its head!"
Of all its awe inspiring evolutionary adaptations, the mantis' ability to capture and consume prey while giving the lowest possible number of fucks is what I find most impressive.
Over billions of years, every time one of its ancestors gave a fuck, nature was there to slaughter it without mercy or offspring. The Mantis has attained the knowledge of the true dharma.
