Binro the Heretic - 2012-12-15
Low stars for lack of Mark Hamill.
Also, the joke should have ended at "Not these guys."

Binro the Heretic - 2012-12-15 DiMaggio is very talented, but I don't believe DiMaggio Joker is genuinely crazy.
urbanelf - 2012-12-15 Ugh. I think Binro makes a compelling argument.

Bort - 2012-12-15
High stars for abundance of John DiMaggio. He's no Mark Hamill, but he IS John DiMaggio.
Also, the joke should have ended at "Not these guys."

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-12-15 Why do they tell children such lies about where pound puppies come from?
They come from slave labor storks in China.

The Mothership - 2012-12-15
I'd swear this was a dupe..... but it's a great clip anyway.
joelkazoo - 2012-12-15
Actually, the "cuz they're dead" part gives the joke a Norm MacDonald-esque air to it.
Aelric - 2012-12-16 It would need the awkward silence between lines.
memedumpster - 2012-12-15
Dupe.
Hooker - 2012-12-15
I really don't understand the appeal of "mature" cartoons like this.
FABIO - 2012-12-15 You missed the opening scene where the Joker beats Robin to death with a pipe.
joelkazoo - 2012-12-15 It was a crowbar, actually.
cognitivedissonance - 2012-12-15 When is Joker NOT beating Robin to death? He's beaten Robin to death so many times Gotham City has officially run out of orphans.
Hooker - 2012-12-15 No, that was posted as well. I don't really care that a cartoon character beats another one with a pipe, though.
takewithfood - 2012-12-15 Would it be more to your liking with live actors?
Hooker - 2012-12-15 No. I just want a cartoon to finally not be written like a stupid fanfiction.
SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-12-15 Most of these direct-to-DVD cartoons are based off of popular runs on the comic book. Technically, it's fanfiction if you consider all things not written by Bob Kane to be fanfic, but there you go.
The appeal is that the better stories from the comics can be made into animated movies (since they're cheaper than the live-action stuff), they don't have restrictions on characters from the DCU that the movies have (thanks to licensing deals) and they're often, at least story-wise, better than the mainstream theatrical releases. "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm" is a much better Batman story than pretty much any of the movies.
Hooker - 2012-12-15 I wasn't calling this fanfiction. I was comparing the quality to fanfiction.
Let me explain this scene: The Joker is propositioned to kill somebody by a guy (Red Skull?), and is surrounded by a handful of the guy's henchmen. The Joker asks for a glass of water. The Joker smashes the glass, and before anyone can react, he slashes a henchman's throat, takes his gun, and shoots all the other henchmen. He then says something cool.
Now, honestly. Is this closer to Die Hard or Half-Life: Full Life Consequences?
Nikon - 2012-12-15 It's not the Red Skull.

FABIO - 2012-12-15 Okay, that origin story DOES resemble Half Life Full Life Consequences.
il fiore bel - 2012-12-15
Oh... oh my.
Caminante Nocturno - 2012-12-15
The Joker was savvy enough to realize that killing the secretary would have wrecked the whole deal.
Gmork - 2012-12-15 This was definitely a pre-meditated stifling of his normal murder impulse.
I love this film.
