They just had an advance copy of Super Mario 3D Land.

People made plenty of illegitimate business selling romhacks long before people started making them for fun.

I think the most surreal part of this video is how he can't actually figure out what a romhack IS. I guess things were different back in those days.

Mario 16 looks unimaginative and lame. I'm so glad Super Mario World exists instead. I consider SMW the best Mario game ever made.
