Oh yeah. Now I remember this thing.

It was one of those "We've seen everything else, what about this one?" video rentals.

I saw "Powder" years later. It was a half-decent movie, but some scenes made me feel inexplicably uneasy. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Then I heard about the kid from this movie letting everyone know what happened to him and Disney deciding to drop Salva as a result.

Years after that, a few of us got together for movie night and one of the DVDs was "Jeepers Creepers". I didn't know it was a Salva film or I would have refused to watch it. I got the same creepy inexplicable feeling from some of the scenes. On top of that, the movie was just plain bad and not in a fun way.

Not sure how to rate this. I mean, the behind-the-scenes story is evil enough, but the movie itself is pretty mediocre.

What the shit? How does this dude still have a career? What the fuck is wrong with society?

Also, Sam Rockwell is awesome. Too bad he had to be linked to such a scumbag.

Victor Salva was prosecuted, convicted, served time, and then paroled. Not sure what the fuck else people want from him. If only he had fled the country for 30 years or so and lived in luxury on the French Rivera and never served a day in jail, perhaps history would have been more kind to him.

Well, it's a good thing this director didn't get blacklisted or anything. Otherwise, the world would have been denied the brilliance of Jeepers Creeprs 2.

wow, i had to stop at the 5:30 minute mark because it was nothing but boys shirtless and in their underwear. pure evil.

Yeah, this is particularly evil. Also, the boys wear the same color schemes as Alvin and the Chipmunks, inexplicably.

too bad this guy actually rapes kids because his movies are some of the few out there that treat their male stars with the same level of creepy fetishization that most other films treat their female stars. how does the male gaze feel, gentlemen?
