It does not surprise me that I never knew this existed. Men like Jay, are forever meant to exist in the side-pockets and alleyways in the CANYONS OF YOUR MIND. I own/owned at various points of my life every piece of literature he has produced. He is the last gasp of the old magic left in this culture. A historian of the highest caliber.

I typically don't care about when musicians, artists, filmmakers that I respect pass on. But when, Ricky Jay dies, I will probably cry a little bit.
