The Mothership - 2013-01-23 I hope it's not possessed, otherwise they might have to conduct an eggorcism.

THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE! Seriously, it's eerie how similar these two videos are, complete with a toddler's voice in the background. Insert Egg Council joke here :)

Okay, so here's a retarded question from someone who'se only ever gotten his eggs from cartons:
Do factories bleach the eggs we get commercially or do something with them, or is it a different breed, what is the difference between white and brown eggs?
|
boner - 2013-01-23 Different breeds, but supposedly there is no detectable difference in the eggs other than colour
|
Chalkdust - 2013-01-23 kinda like how green eyes taste the same as blue eyes
|
baleen - 2013-01-23 There is no difference in different colored eggs. Breeding plays a minor role in major corporate carton eggs. It's as simple as this:
Brown eggs generally come from brown chickens.
White eggs generally come from white chickens.
There are many, many hundreds of breeds of chicken. Some of the heritage breeds lay green or blue eggs, or mottled or speckled eggs that look to pretty to eat. You can get those at farmers' markets. Those kinds of backyard eggs will cost you -8 a dozen and they are fucking amazing. The yokes are often dark orange or sunset red and taste unlike any normal egg you've ever had. The reason is that chickens in their natural state eat lots of different things, especially bugs, and that will change the flavor and protein content of their egg.
Those a dozen eggs you get at Safeway come from chickens fed only one thing, and it's usually corn with some kind of protein meal added to it. Same color egg each time, same yolk, same flavor.
One day I'm gonna get me a chicken coop, but I live in an apartment. The only reason I know this stuff is because I worked for a company that did lots of sustainable urban farming projects, so I got to learn a lot about gardening and chickens.

robotkarateman - 2013-01-24 We had chickens on our ranch in California and my ex-mother in law got the bright idea of letting them "free range". Besides getting eating by coyotes on a regular basis, the fuckers also developed a taste for the little scorpions that were found all over the place and refused to eat their feed. We learned real quick what a difference diet makes in the taste of eggs.

RocketBlender - 2013-01-24 You see, THIS is why I love poeTV compared to all other internet forums out there.
Asking about a really weird obscure purposely hidden thing about a game on gameFAQs:
"LOL I love how people can't find easter eggs on their own anymore."
"OMG you couldn't figure this out? You have to go out into the middle of the dessert and wander around until a randomly spawning cactus has 100 spines instead of 98. If you cast lightning on it you'll be teleported to the secret world, DUH! Moron!"
"I don't know ur answer but is this game any good?"
"No it sucks don't play this shit FINAL FANTASY 7 BEST GAME EVER"
"FIRST!!!!"
Ask an idiot question about eggs of all things that I probably could have googled in retorspect and I get both useful and funny answers from all of you.
Poe kicks ass.
