It's been fashionable to rag on Disney for 20 years now... I'm sick of it. This is a great short. Mickey is such a lame character but he's actually interesting in this. I want more!!

The only Disney productions I enjoy are Darby O'Gill & the Little People, Return To Oz and Never Cry Wolf.

The classic stuff is technically amazing but lacks any real wit.

Fantasia is interesting when you take into account the fact that it was inspired by a peyote trip.

More bitching: A lot of the older stuff doesn't even seem technically amazing so much as amazingly overanimated. Some of the things they did to small bodies of water are just shameful.
