I'm gonna side with the great parenting on this one. they earned that candy, and learned a valuable lesson in the process. Also some impressive scaling there.

I'm in the "that's good parenting" boat. Get 'em started climbing young. Maybe if my parents had done that when I was 2 or 3, I wouldn't have gotten vertigo after just a foot or so off the ground, even when I was in elementary school.

Humans have a natural ability to climb trees given to us by our Creator in His image... to climb trees.
