Lost my ticket at sound in space. I may be the only human that finds noiseless vacuum in movies to be uncomfortably suffocating and awesome in the experience of a movie about uncomfortable suffocating vacuum. Even Lens Flare Trek had those moments.
Yeah, that part at the beginning of the movie where the female redshirt gets sucked out of the ship's hull after it gets torpedoed. The camera follows her out and everything just goes silent as she floats off into space, still frantically trying in vain to grab on to something.
That gives me chills every time I think of it. Too bad the rest of the movie was kind of shit.
Also I'll give the sound a pass for anything where it's something happening in or to any of the astronauts' suits or to the station, since there you can at least make the reasonable suspension of disbelief that they're hearing it either directly or transmitted over the radio.
