And almost all of them are abstract points of theology about the Virgin Mary or Christ's nature.

Most fundamentalists invoke Papal Infallibility far more often than all the Popes put together have -- as soon as you claim that Jesus told you something in prayer, you are claiming to have received infallibly correct information.
