I hate this guy and his state legislators with a passion. Why the FUCK don't these idiots know that once the door is open again between religion and politics, its only a matter of time before their precious freedom of religion is taken away. People will vote along with their churches and democracy will be over. These people are doing such evil, thinking that somehow this will strengthen faith.
I come from a pretty religious family, and yet they are all reasonable, faithful people. They don't push it on anyone and are tolerant and loving. The last thing people like my family want is to have their church and faith sullied by government and politics.
On a last note, I find it ironic that these same people that want NO BIG GOVERNMENT and FREEDOM and all that jazz are the same ones that want to eliminate the borders between church and that same government.

What I love about these types of laws is that the states that think they need them are the states that are in no danger of losing any sort of Christianity in the public square.

Take my main job, working in a public school in Kansas. Every Christmas it's the same thing, teachers losing their minds about not being able to have "Christmas Parties" or sing songs that mention Jesus or whatever. Yet, every fucking year we have Christmas parties and every year we sing songs like Joy to the World.

One time on Veteran's Day, a fellow para-educator gave a speech (because he's a veteran) to inspire the kids and he just used his time to tell them to trust in Jesus. Again, this is on Veteran's Day.

In fact, the only holiday that parents have a real cock-block about is Halloween. I've never gone through a year without some different kid not being able to sing Halloween songs or wear a costume or participate in a Halloween party because their parents' stupid superstitions.
