But what if I don't WANT a gay motherboard?

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2013-07-08

No wait you get a super-cool box too!!! with some, like, red shit on it + A DRAGON!! :D

Callamon - 2013-07-08

without a reservoir is a water cooling setup any better than a heatsink ?

Monkey Napoleon - 2013-07-08

Ehh, not yet. The all-in-one type setups like this are getting very close to being competitive with high end air setups as far as actual $/cooling goes. The main advantage of these things is less clutter in your case, which can help make airflow better, but is mostly just for looking all riced out through the side window.

-1 star for completely skipping the hardest and most time consuming part of building a computer.

I've got a Kühler H2O 620 that looks like the one here, it is quieter and keeps things less than 30F above room temperature, good for overclocking, but you need a case designed for it. The big radiator acts like a reservoir and should have both a push and pull fan on it, connected to the CPU fan header, so they can run slower.

I love Taiwan.

TheOtherCapnS - 2013-07-08

Sorry, I'm an Asus man.

mouser - 2013-07-08

In Montreal slang, Asus is phonetically the same as "she sucks".

TheOtherCapnS - 2013-07-08

This only reinforces my position.

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-07-08

Not going to find much Asus in Taiwan, or any Asian country for that matter.

I was building PCs before she was born.

freedoom - 2013-07-08

she forgot to put the backer on the motherboard for the cpu cooler to screw into.

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2013-07-08

What's with the heat sinks I see on "gaming" RAM sticks these days? I don't recall hot RAM ever being an actual problem people have in real life.

Syd Midnight - 2013-07-11

It isn't, it just looks cool.

I've got 40mm fans stuck all over my MB chipset, but those actually serve a purpose.
