I really hope that's not the actual dress they're showing on that Prom Problem graphic. You'd think a brony that dorky would at least TRY and make it show accurate to one of her two Galloping Gala gowns. Preferably the one covered in streamers.

Also, Connecticut tag please? This is pretty much everything you need to know about our state right here.

EvilHomer - 2013-07-09

And thank you, Hailey. I needed something like this to cheer me up today.

Old_Zircon - 2013-07-09

I always thought you were in Boston.

EvilHomer - 2013-07-09

No. When I was real little I lived up around Boston - it's where my mom's family is from, I probably mentioned that before - but I bounced around a lot. I lived in northern CT for a few months, New York, New Hampshire for a year, England (Limey England) off and on for a number of years, but mostly southern CT. I don't have the faintest fucking idea where The Morgan School is, but I do recognize Kevin Hogan, so it's gotta be CT. Old Man Flabby-Henry-Rollins has been pimping the local news since I was a wee bairn.

Ewww, do I really come off as a Bostonian? It's bad enough people think I'm a brony, but a *Boston* brony?

EvilHomer - 2013-07-09

Seriously, though, this is totally the sort of thing Connecticut schools do on a routine basis. Back when I was his age, we didn't have no bronies, but we did have a constant stream of GSA fag dances 'round prom time. We also had neopagan fag dances around Christmas, sXe fag dances around St Patrick's Day, Puerto Rican fag dances around Cinco de Mayo; of course, they never generated any REAL controversy, because the school officials round those parts are almost always hippies who sign off on whatever bullshit the students want to do, but kids like being the center of attention and feeling like they're fighting the power, so you give 'em a little show and then say "Well, aaaalllllrrriiiiggghhhttt, I suppose you kids can have this one."

I don't know if it works different in other parts of the country; it probably does. But the petty entitlement of the student body and indifferent shrugging of the institutional power structure is how we roll.

Also, I think I had an art class with the fat girl.

EvilHomer - 2013-07-09

Oh, actually, now that I think about it, there was that whole Martin Luther King Day thing, but that was a complicated issue and at any rate it doesn't change the general pattern of benign liberal indifference.

Gmork - 2013-07-09

At least you're self-aware!

Cena_mark - 2013-07-10

The dress needs more streamers, lollypops, and balloons.

Change - 2013-07-09

I want to beat him up and take his lunch money.

Riskbreaker - 2013-07-09

hahahahaha

SolRo - 2013-07-09

Wish they'd just drop the brony excuse and come out of the closet already.

memedumpster - 2013-07-09

Fuck that, I'm starting a Drop the Clop for Jesus prayer camp. It wont be cheap at all.

EvilHomer - 2013-07-09

I don't think anyone's going to Drop the Clop for Jesus. For Bowling Pony, maybe, but Jesus is a second-tier background pony at best.

memedumpster - 2013-07-10

Just have your mom call us when she gets the ten grand down payment on your future together.

baleen - 2013-07-09

He was "denied from wearing gown to prom."
The prom denied him permission to wear the gown.
The wearing-grown denied the boy permission to wear itself.
Brony's gown rejected by prom committee.

TeenerTot - 2013-07-09

Why would you even feel the need to ask permission? Who fucking cares what he wears, as long as his junk is covered? So messed up in so many ways.

RocketBlender - 2013-07-09

In all honesty, I completely agree. Hell, the Tux shop sums it up nicely, girls wear Tuxes all the time, why should this be such a big deal?

Unfortunately, the whole brony thing kind of overshadows the actual issue here. Bronies tend to do that in their need for attention.

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2013-07-09

Why did he submit a request to wear something to prom? As opposed to just showing up wearing whatever the hell he wanted like every other person.
I think he'll enjoy spending prom night wearing a dress in his basement recording video game commentary more than prom itself, anyway.

RocketBlender - 2013-07-09

He asked because he wanted attention. That's what the whole brony thing is all about, I'm pretty sure.

RocketBlender - 2013-07-09

Stars for the last few minutes. The Sonic T shirt and his prom plans really ties all this together nicely.

Old_Zircon - 2013-07-09

And he does Let's Play.

The Mothership - 2013-07-10

I think this is exactly correct.

The New Meat - 2013-07-09

I feel like bronies are worse than other nerds, not because of anything to do with the content of the show but just because they seem to relish shoving their retarded pointless dorkwad bullshit in the squares' faces even more than other nerds.

Well, at least he's not forcing his debate class to listen to his 45 minute presentation about how MLP is totally not a girl show.

Dr Robot - 2013-07-09

This actually is why the terrorists hate us.

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-07-09

I think its hilarious that that girl equated his stupid prank to transgendered rights.

Cena_mark - 2013-07-10

He should go as Shezow.

Triggerbaby - 2013-07-11

It's nice to see that something constructive came of this, even if it was completely by accident and bronies were involved.

BHWW - 2013-07-10

Brony's family to deny he is theirs. "You can't prove anything", say parents.

eatenmyeyes - 2013-07-15

I...I can't even find the will to watch this...

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2013-07-15

Oh, just let him wear a dress.

As long as it's not anything slutty.
