Saying we're stupid for ascribing Russian driving habits to a single video either means you don't really pay attention to this site or you're assuming we haven't seen the plethora of dashcam vids demonstrating that dangerous driving is a pretty significant problem in the former USSR.

America has loads of idiots as well, but we're nowhere near having to deal with the same amount of police corruption, insurance fraud, and just plain incompetent/arrogant drivers.

dash cams are about the only difference between the US and Russia. (you already ignore the subarctic climate difference)

As it occurred in Russia it fits the magical pattern of vids we have that hit the WTF Russia tag. Despite it being a badly wet track, Japanese driver, Italian car...blah, blah tires and stuff. Might want to start a RACING! tag.

Dashcams to seem to indicate that there are a LOT more undivided highways in Russia. Also hatchet/bat fights, low flying jets and helicopters, tanks, trucks missing wheels and still driving normally and dangerously unsecured cargo.

I never see car crashes, you must live in California. Also, when I do see a wreck, the drivers usually don't start beating each other with tire irons and/or get attacked by wolves.

I would be too busy playing with all those button clusters on the steering wheel. I don't know a fucking thing about F1 cars so it's a complete mystery to me why they need so many buttons.
