Marlin Perkins went to the Himalayas with Sir Edmund Hillary to investigate and debunk the Abominable Snowman legend.

He was bitten by venomous snakes three times in his lifetime, but never on camera as some people still believe.

When he was in his eighties, Dr. Perkins punched an investigative journalist in the face. The reporter had ambushed him with questions about how much of his nature footage had been "staged."
