In YouTube comment land, the person who dies with the most toys wins, women never divorce because the man they married is an asshole, and everything is always about money.

Oh, and sex should be purchasable, because that's the only way they'll get laid... until they run into that whole "we reserve the right to refuse business for any reason" thing.

Blue - 2013-08-15

Oh my god is somebody astroturfing the MRA movement now?

Pillager - 2013-08-15

A PhD, no less.

Oscar Wildcat - 2013-08-15

Ha, I suppose you're both married?

CornOnTheCabre - 2013-08-15

i mean, that's sort of like accusing radfem of astroturfing -- it's not like there's a President of MRA, or really any governing body at the core of the movement (although yeah, there are plenty of "coalitions," which I prescribe only slightly more influence to than your average mailing list).

it's just a nebulous vein of self-fulfilling, conditioned ignorance that can easily exist in certain peoples' minds without them necessarily having found out the name for it yet.

Blue - 2013-08-15

I think they're astroturfing because of the other videos they've done, specifically the one about the "global warming agenda". That's kind of like someone making a video about how fast food and junk food have nothing to do with obesity. I mean, there are people that will parrot that shit, but when somebody actively dedicates their time to it I suspect a financial motive.

CornOnTheCabre - 2013-08-15

ohhhh, you mean conservative groups are using MRA talking points FOR astroturfing. yeah, that makes a lot of sense, ha.

ashtar. - 2013-08-15

She has a book she's flogging, as well as a blog pundit "career".

Old_Zircon - 2013-08-15

Why would you want more men to marry?

Innocent Bystander - 2013-08-16

Exactly. Why is the unspoken agenda of this video something like: "Marriage is intrinsically good and everyone should get married"?

memedumpster - 2013-08-15

"Men are acting rationally in opting out of education..."

I can stop you right there.

TeenerTot - 2013-08-15

This actually made me laugh.

So where's the video that explains why men are opting out of jobs? Is that cuz they'll lose respect, too?

Hooker - 2013-08-15

Hold on. Tell me more about this opting out of work thing.

StanleyPain - 2013-08-15

I love the incredibly lazy graphics in this. It's so utterly neo-con humor wrapped up in a nutshell.

ashtar. - 2013-08-15

The reason I'm single and have a crappy job is that I'm "opting out". I'm not a loser, I'm part of a revolutionary movement perched on the cusp of social change!

chairsforcheap - 2013-08-15

I didn't realize how unhappy i was until i opted out! Now i can play video games and wait to go to jail!

Caminante Nocturno - 2013-08-15

Ladies, you can't get a date because video games are better than you. Why would a man spend 0 dollars on a date to a fancy restaurant when he can spend half that much on a Steam sale and just masturbate to the most attractive characters?

You can ruin your financial futures at the bars if you want! I've got a copy of Skullgirls and a good credit rating, and that's all I need to have a good time!

Gmork - 2013-08-15

even the fighting games you choose are subpar little-girls-with-powers anime contrivance!

Caminante Nocturno - 2013-08-15

I'll bet you've tried to marry a gun.

Sudan no1 - 2013-08-16

Two absolutely devastating ice burns... this is why men will never have equal rights.

Aelric - 2013-08-15

So...um...what is your argument?

candyheadrobot - 2013-08-15

:D Oh my, how silly this is.

1. People certainly still look at you sideways if you aren't married by 30 something.

2. More couples are practicing open relationships and polyamory than ever, and that's something less creepy than a 50 year old man trying to pick up girls at a club (though that's common, and they're married).

3, 4, 5. XD what type of reasoning is this?

6. Unless you have no anxiety or depression issues, don't live at home with your parents, and have opted into facebook, not so much.

Can you really get a degree in derping? Cause I'll certainly go into debt if I can be allowed to spout nonsense, and be taken seriously by a sliver of the population.

memedumpster - 2013-08-15

If you lived in my state, I would suggest...

CIWB - 2013-08-15

Do people still look at you sideways if you're not married by thirty-something?

I think it depends on what part of the country you live in. Maybe in the American South or Midwest...

candyheadrobot - 2013-08-15

@meme: Oh no, I can't willingly put myself into another religious based school. Two years of that, took about 5 years to get over, so I've got to find another way to become a cult leader.

@CIWB: I live in the midwest, and can assure you that's still a something here. Good to know there are logical people on the outside though.

Meerkat - 2013-08-15

1. Because women aren't interested in balding short guys with glasses and no eyebrows. Or at least they don't come to my house and bang on my door so I'm just guessing here.

The God of Biscuits - 2013-08-15

Is this a joke or something? Men don't want to get married because they'll be locked in the attic?

How about, more men aren't getting married because we're less religious now and have higher education rates?
