The thought of being bred clearly turns Pat on.

Ummmmmmmmm! Holy fuck.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-08-27
Does Pat come up with this crap on his own, or does he have just enough computer knowledge to read some really iffy websites where he gets his ideas?
I'd ask if he has an older relative that sends him conspiracy theory e-mails, but I figure all of his older relations must be dead by now, assuming they're not some flavor of zombie, like him.

It sounds like the kind of thing some kid would tell you on the playground in fourth grade.
|
|
SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-08-27 Nah, that was the story about the AIDS-infected needles that were being left on gas pump triggers.

takewithfood - 2013-08-27
He was doing sort of okay there right up until the end. And then that happened.

CBN is trying to get this taken down...
|
SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-08-27
Awww...
"Robertson: Gays Use Rings ..." This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by CBNonline+vid.
There should be a reform to copyright law where if they issue a takedown for copyright (which I hope will be refuted as I'd say this was done for purposes of review if nothing else), the actual reason needs to be stated: "We did this because Pat actually said what he thinks is true, revealing himself to be a hateful, loathsome specimen of human offal who is the result of actually buying into organized religion and its prejudice-filled bronze-age fairy tales, and that's a threat to our continued fleecing of the ignorant."

|
TheOtherCapnS - 2013-08-27 AIDS in seven days, unless you send this story to ten other people!
|
|
EvilHomer - 2013-08-27 I could have sworn it was on Snopes, too, but I can't find it now... which means IT'S PROBABLY TRUE.

I'm really at a loss here. All of the loathsome little tidbits from Pat, relayed by RWW, and *this* is the one they pull a DMCA on?
|
|
StanleyPain - 2013-08-27 It's not even a legit DMCA claim, not that the gutless turds at YouTube would ever stand up for free speech. It's completely fair use.

His apology and explanation is -- of course -- amazing. Please read:
http://joemygod.blogspot.com/2013/08/pat-robertson-i-regret-th at-you-dont.html
"In my own experience, our organization sponsored a meeting years ago in San Francisco where trained security officers warned me about shaking hands because, in those days, certain AIDS-infected activists were deliberately trying to infect people like me by virtue of rings which would cut fingers and transfer blood."

I just resubmitted the link via The Young Turks. They're not everyone's favorite, I know, but I have a feeling this'll become a fairly lengthy war of attrition, unless TYTs have dealt with this before.
Anyway, it's there.

cognitivedissonance - 2013-08-28
Right, but AIDS is killed on contact with oxygen. It could not be kept on a ring like something out of "The Borgias".
|
SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-08-28 From the way he describes it, these fantasy rings allow mingling of fresh blood, so I guess they're supposed to cut both the wearer and the victim.
If I'd known being gay came with James Bond gadgets, I might have considered faking it to see what devices were available.

This video contains equal quantities of truth and lies. It is really quite amazing!
Truth: The chances of you getting infected with aids, even if you were to have a car accident are quite small.
Lie: That there is a "homosexual agenda" hiding victims or dangers of this disease from people. There's this thing called the internet. He's old, so he may end up being exempt through the "Old people don't understand internet" clause. Though he is also violently ejecting these lies on national TV based on his own ignorance, so there you go.
Also Truth: There are in fact people who are Homosexuals, and have AIDS, who purposefully attempt to infect others. However their targets are mostly other gays because they see their AIDS as a punishment for their actions and are using it as a way to punish as many other people as possible. I wonder how a concept like that got spread around!
Also Lies: Most of these gays target other gays, due to their whole "AIDS is a punishment and I hate everyone including myself" thing. Unless you are going to random locations in the bronx and having gay sex with people, you're pretty safe (in terms of aids, not in terms of getting shot).
