He got my vote as well. There's a good amount of crazy represented--as always--but it's really hard to top a guy who claims that a pulsar can make a conscious decision to glorify a deity by oscillating in a certain manner.

I dunno about that being a stretch for fundies, what with "and the rocks cried out" and all that. They've got a history of believing in talking objects and animals, which is frankly among the less weird things they've got on their "this is true in spite of how completely bonkers it sounds" dance cards.

I vote for Pulsar guy too.

I thought VFX wasn't making videos anymore and even if he was the fact it's been established that he is mentally ill would take him out of the running.

Giglio, he was in that zone where the crowd is dead quiet and the person on stage can say anything off the top of their heads and the gathered mob will just nod along because their brains are rapturously disengaged.

Well Potholer (aka Peter Hadfield) was a science correspondent in Japan, if not the majority of his career, than a fair amount of it.

Yeah, I don't know anything about "Portholer", but I figured there was probably some connection to Japan that isn't evident from his accent. Thanks for the info.

He's been back for a long time now, mostly making absolutely batshit crazy insane videos that require amazing amounts of time to produce (greenscreen, heavy editing, etc.). Lately he's just been boring, though..for the past few months most of his online activity has been shilling for that Genesis 3D movie and trying to get people to donate to the crowdfunding for it. What's interesting is that he started his own donation fund for the movie (despite his history of taking donations and using them for his own purposes), so it remains to be seen if he's really giving the money to the Genesis 3D producers or if this is another scheme of his to just take in cash.

That's what they claim. It's funny how many supposedly original documents (stone tablets, golden discs, etc.) go missing from religions, isn't it?

To be fair, swashbuckling archaeologists share some of the blame for that.
