Disney's actually done some quality cartoons since, what, the late 1990s I think. Off the top of my head:

Kim Possible - might actually have been empowering to young girls

Fillmore! - a cop show set at a middle school starring the school's safety patrol

Disney's Hercules - purists will hate this, but the writers got just enough of the mythology correct that you know they knew the source material. I like this scene from when Odysseus's son went missing and the cops were interviewing Odysseus and Penelope:

Disney's current animation platform is composed almost entirely of Cartoon Network vets that the network weren't smart enough to keep employed. Gravity Falls' creator worked on Flapjack and when they cancelled the show Disney snapped him up.
