In B4 "it's not traditional traditional animation, it's modern digital ink-and-paint traditional animation".

What I do like about the art in this new TV special is that it actually does seem to approach the quality of that of Peyo's original comics whereas Hanna-Barbera simplified the character designs, making most of the Smurfs generic except for their distinguishing object just for easy animation. The best Smurfs animation is probably still, without much doubt, THE SMURFS AND THE MAGIC FLUTE, real traditional animation that predates the American Saturday morning cartoon, but this is still the best we've seen in the past three-and-a-half decades.

Although wasn't the SMURF village destroyed in that UNESCO spot? I guess that wasn't "canon".

why do you know so much about smurfs

Hey now, whatever you think of the 1980s Hanna-Barbera SMURFS cartoon or the recent live-action/CGI hybrid movies, the original Peyo comics are classic fun.

Nothing BlackNerdComedy does should ever be shared on poeTV, unless it's to mock him.

Couldn't make it past about 20 seconds.

From the wikipedia description of Smurfs season 6 premiere:

"...the Long Life Stone, a mystical stone responsible for allowing the Smurfs to live long lives. Its power is fading, and they need to restore it before its power completely fades, resulting in rapid aging and the imminent destruction of both the Smurfs and the village.

It is not known if Wild Smurf, who would not be introduced until Season 7, was ever affected by the Long Life Stone's power fading, or how he was. "
