I remember the first time I played Mario 64 and heard Mario's voice in that game. I was absolutely flabbergasted that Mario didn't sound like Lou Albano. To this day, in my mind, Mario sounds like Captain Lou, not that other voice.

I didn't have cable, so the UHF block of kids programming in the afternoons was this, followed by Mario Cantone doing Liza Minelli and Barbara Streisand impressions for 8-year-olds on "Steam-Pipe Alley", followed by "Xuxa", which was just Double Dare hosed by a Brazilian porn star.
