Nah, that guy's still an asshole for not getting inside to where the real fun happens.

The logic behind all of this boggles my mind. I remember when I was a kid there were these commercials for this chain store called Mervin's (maybe it was just a west coast chain) and it featured these cute little grannys waiting outside the store before it opened, Kilroy-esque, and I remembered thinking "man, that's kinda funny and ultimately depressing".

Seems to me with all the law enforcement in and outside of the store, they could just limit it to 10-15 at a time instead of a horde. All that causes is potential shoplifting, trampling, and other acts of selfish violence.

Actually, rewatching the video, you'd need the National Guard and then some to hold these people back. Maybe the solution is to abolish a single (or 3) days of savings and turn it into, I dunno, like a month of savings leading up until Christmas. The amount of goods that appear damaged in these videos will simply lead to exchanges or returns. It benefits neither the pissed off consumer or the company reaping its financial gain.

"Black" in Black Friday is derived from a company being in "The Black" as of the end of the fiscal year (which begs the question; why would K-mart have BF sales at all as they've been in the Red for quite some time?) Whatever, I get crafty with all my Christmas gifts. Here son, I quilted you an Xbox One.

I don't know if I get why Walmart is such a hot spot for this behavior. Isn't stuff always cheap at Walmart? What, are you going to save an extra dollar on that rag rug?
