Sounded like Weatherman with that deer, and it would figure that he'd vacuum anything, he showed a filmmaker clean his shoes meticulously before entry into the home.

The one thing I'd worry about is how loud some of these vacuums are that close to the pets. It's too loud for me and I use ear protection when I sweep, balls of paper towel to be quick about it.
