Honestly, the idea that someone knocking on your door should instantly terrify you is one of the most insanely fucking infuriating things I can think of.

I remember once, when I knocked on a neighbor's door in a sealed apartment complex because they left their keys in the lock outside the door. I knocked once, made sure to stay in the eyehole view, nobody answered. I knocked again, and there was a frightened "Who is it?!" I said that I lived on the same floor and noticed their keys were hanging off their door as I was going out. There was some murmuring, so I just walked off to the elevators a few feet away (still within the keyhole view). The door squeaked open and they quickly grabbed the keys, apparently terrified of 160 lbs t-shirt and jeans me.

I'd love to hear the details, seeing that whenever you bring a gun to a break & enter, you've just incurred attempted murder charges. Did your pals tick them off or were in some other way involved with said criminals, because random B&E with shotguns is rather rare.

In the midwest, there were a lot of burglaries that expressly made sure the homes weren't occupied before breaking in and stealing everything. They just had a cover story for why someone was on your porch, knocking on your door (asking to mow the lawn, soliciting for charity, etc.). Any homes without occupants were then targeted.

Gun people make fun of Glocks all the time, enough so that a person could easily think they're despised.

It goes back to a couple of design generations ago when Glock foolishly decided not to design their pistols to regularly withstand 200% over-pressure. Lots of stupid people make their own "hot loads" which are cartridges that have more propellant than recommended. Every firearm has a suggested bullet weight and gunpowder charge that you can vary a little bit, but some dopes think loading for MAXX PENETRATION makes them a badass or something.

Anyway, there were some high profile incidents of Glocks failing spectacularly and turning into "hand" "grenades".

In reality though, just about everyone who owns a few guns has one. Glocks are all around pretty good guns, and are designed to be a little more forgiving to retards now.
