There's a couple of videos of when the cops showed up for some reason I can't discern; they beat the shit out of him and ruptured his spleen. Too bad they left the kid behind.

I flagged this video and asked Youtube to report him to authorities. This guy should not be a dad. At the very least, there should be a file on him.

Evidence... I assume that flagging the videos does not actually delete them from the friggin servers.

I'm sure that Youtube has priorities to certain flags too, and "Child Abuse" must be one of the ones they pay attention to the most.

They'd have to be pretty stupid to delete the evidence, Homer. I'm with baleen; they might pull his account but that doesn't make the videos disappear.

I will be sad when he finally gets v& and the hilarious comment that I left on this video disappears along with it, though.

How long does YT keep videos they've deleted? I doubt it's common practice to keep them for very long, if at all; most videos are deleted, not for being illegal, but for being deemed offensive/ copyrighted/ some other bullshit. True, there's always the possibility for data reconstruction, but I highly doubt anyone has the time and resources to take whatever server this >1k view video was stored on offline and piece it back together. So unless some cyber vigilantes care enough to make backup copies, I wouldn't rely on YT.

At any rate, flagging his videos is pointless - it won't change what happened, all it'll do is make what happened less visible, stop him from uploading further evidence/ doxing himself, and possibly even scare him into fullblown DFE mode... all of which is clearly counterproductive, if your goal is to bring this guy to justice. And this is assuming he'd respond to a takedown notice rationally - for all we know, the moment he spots the writing on the wall, he might opt to kill his kids.

By all means alert the Feds and let them handle it, but flagging his videos and getting his channel shut down is not going to do the situation any good.

I don't know much about vigilante-ing (sic?) though. I might be able to come up with some kind of Bat-Belt, but the full suit is a little cost-prohibitive and I find sculpting nipples into body-armour EXTREMELY difficult. But you seem like some sort of internet-dude, Homer. Now that you've set the stage by pointing out what won't work, why don't you let us into the Bat-Cave and maybe let us in on some trade secrets?

I just know what doesn't work, not what does. I tried helping the hunt for Luka Magnotta, yet despite having solid dox and providing international law enforcement with clear documentary evidence of his fucked-upedness, absolutely nothing happened to that bastard until he chopped up a dude and started sending body parts to the Canadian Prime Minister.

So far, all we've seen is a couple videos where he implies that he pricks his kid's fingers, and makes his kid stare at the sun - fucked up, but probably not enough to get him charged with child endangerment, especially if he can afford a good lawyer. We seem to be his only audience (which means we have very little vigilante manpower), and any potential relevant material is buried under... what? Almost 5,000 semi-coherent rants? Unless he's a terrorist and/or leader of a CP ring, no cop's going to sift through that much noise, especially not based on the say-so of a couple Youtube flag complaints.

In Batman's opinion, our best bet would be to keep tabs on him and quietly alert law enforcement to his presence (who will probably do nothing). We should neither spook him nor provoke YT into shutting him down - if the Party Van wants to alert YT and shut his channel down, that's their business.

Seriously, guys, please please please don't flag his videos, just call the relevant social services and let them handle things.

If we get his channel shut down, it's not going to magically save his kids. All that's going to happen, is there's going to be a still-anonymous pissed off crazy guy who's lost his primary outlet to the outside world, sitting at home with his kids. His persecution complex is going to go through the roof, and nobody will know what's going on because he's no longer broadcasting his daily activities to the world. We're the only people who give a shit about him at this point, and in all likelihood, if this channel goes down, we'll never see or hear from him again. And that's assuming he even bothers getting back on the internet, rather than, for example, killing his entire family and then himself.

I kept trying to apply some linear logic to his ramblings but I couldn't hold much together. Then I figured I'd watch one of his other videos...
