Keep a little Marc in your heart, Baleen.

worth combing through all the episodes.

for no particular reason hearing "no russians in russia" again made me really happy.

Hey, my birthday's not for another 3 weeks. What gives?

I can't seem to find episode 2, but episode 3 features Hawkwind.

This is also awesome because I kind of never listened to any Trex after "Tankx". "Dandy in the Underground" has some really great songs, apparently.

Not really knowing anything about TRex or Marc Bolan, I thought from the description, before clicking on the link, it was "short-lived" because the TV show was terrible, but, checking Wikipedia, I can see that it was short-lived because the guy died.

I don't know if the music's exactly my bag, but the production values and just sharpness of the picture and the colors are fairly amazing for a mid-1970s British TV show. I can only presume it was shot on film and not videotape. Whatever you think of early Tom Baker-era DR. WHO from a writing or comedy standpoint, it's my primary reference for how British TV from that era looked in general, the video quality did not age well, it's murky and fuzzy and there's a lot of colour-bleeding and it looks like something shot on videotape on a small budget.

Wikipedia doesn't say whether it's videotape or film. If it is videotape, I don't know how they did it but the integrity of the image looks so much better than DR. WHO.

Also, I see David Bowie was on the final episode, recorded only a week before Marc Bolan died in a car crash, so, it's like, that's 2 famous people who died in 1977 shortly after recording something for television with David Bowie (the other being, of course, Bing Crosby).
