Four heads, eight wings, their consciousness is in disembodied wheels behind them, and they are bright orange. Not exactly Precious Moments.

It's religious madness via Atari. Remember when a single pixel could be an adventurer, a monster, treasure, or anything? If your video is low-rez enough, each little block of color can be a goldmine for your delusions to frolic in.
There was also a video (maybe here) claiming "ghosts" were rising from the waters. The rational noted that trapped air pockets in submerged buildings created a similar effect, but nope, it was ghosts.
