Scientology: We Do Science...Because It's In Our Name

We do sciencey things. With people. And science. That we make up. But it's still sciencey. Because it's in our name. Which is Scientology.

Shiny happy things remind us of us.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-02-03

If it were real science it could make things explode, not ONLY kill people.

Gmork - 2014-02-03

Beautiful.

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-02-03

This is the worst thing.

BorrowedSolution - 2014-02-03

Yasssss! Yasssss!

SixDigitDebt - 2014-02-03

“Yo Scientology, I’m really happy for you, Imma let you finish but Christianity had one of the best ad campaigns of all time!"

Caminante Nocturno - 2014-02-03

This year's Super Bowl was one of the most uncomfortably awkward games of football I've ever seen, and this stupid commercial wasn't even the main reason.

EvilHomer - 2014-02-03

Was it really that bad? I missed it completely, didn't even know it was on until I checked poeTV this morning. I had bigger things on my mind this weekend, anyway... like CHEESE SANDWICH ohmygodsoawesome best musical number of the SEASON. Did you like the part with live-action Gummy? Or the reference to Smile?!

Still, I might have enjoyed a particularly pathetic and embarrassing game of football. What happened?

Caminante Nocturno - 2014-02-03

It was just so one-sided that it stopped being funny.

I liked every single part where Weird Al had a line.

BHWW - 2014-02-03

Cringeworthy, as bad as their commercial from years back that featured a couple of psychologists depicted as mad scientists proclaim to a crowd of sycophantic worshipers MAN IS AN ANIMAL!

Oscar Wildcat - 2014-02-03

Is man not a bivalve, Scientology? And if so, is not a mollusk an animal?

glasseye - 2014-02-03

"Filter feeder" describes the typical American consumer oh so well.

Quad9Damage - 2014-02-03

Imagine a world where the world's richest cult has been abandoned and spoken out against by its leader's own niece.

namtar - 2014-02-03

The pope has a niece?

misterbuns - 2014-02-04

LRH's granddaughter left recently.

In Going Clear, it claims that one of Scientology's goals is to rid the world of "suppressive people," which is broadly defined as people that work against the world's population becoming "clear" (the highest level in Scientology). However, they label everyone that they don't like, disagree with, are in a battle with, etc. an SP, so the number of people declared SPs has steadily risen. Even by their own standards, Scientology is losing more every day.
