College radio played these guys a lot in the late 1970s in Pittsburgh, once they even had a Devo marathon on one of the stations. I never became a fanatic, but they're part of my musical experience.

Boomer The Dog - 2015-07-10 Many bands Homer, I can't choose a favorite, there are probably hundreds, at least it seems like it, I'll have to make a list sometime of the top #?? bands that have affected me. I tend towards album rock, funk, disco, soul, newer jazz mainly, with bits of other genres new and old, and tend to stay with the underground side of the genres and not touch pop very much. Out of the popular musics, I'm probably least likely to be listening to modern radio country and classical.
Some of it is tied with radio, so if I hear a local DJ who cares about what they're playing and has a passion for their music, I'm more likely to listen. If it's a pirate station, on the air to promote their kind of music, that's special and I'll listen hard.
