errhmaww thanks homie (that was my best marge), they all got 15 days in jail and he will be out around the 25th! we are cracking a handle of old crow in solidarity right now...NOLA style under the wharfs! i hope he doesn't DRONE on too much to his cellmates about his political views, syracuse jail can be rough (for gals at least i can only imagine guys) so maybe he'll end up in the sex offenders unit or something by the time its all said and done...

The Hancock 17 were arrested for blockading a military base to protest US drone strikes. A fairly admirable stance imho. As to the content of his speech, it's the typical overdramatic legal argument of someone who never went to law school, but who saw JFK several times. It's not that uncommon an occurrence. I'm far more concerned that they got 15 days in jail for protesting than I am for the level of "crazy" in his speech.

I basically agree. It would have been interesting to hear the "expert witness" he was referring so we could at least hear the line of argument fleshed out in legalese. He was definitely ranting though.
