You can't beat the classics.

These are all for the terrible pun at the end.

Old_Zircon - 2014-03-08

Mine are for Sherman's reaction to it.

BiggerJ - 2014-03-07

This is actually kind of a clever sci-fi concept. Smug time traveler thinks most of humanity is stupid. Impressed by how well human history has managed to go despite that, he travels through time to find out how they did it, only to discover that they all need - and thus had - his help.

Also, holy shit I thought the opening dialogue was a parody for a moment.

Xenocide - 2014-03-07

So basically, Doctor Who.

I mean, they usually just show the adventures he has where he's fighting robots on the moon with Napoleon or something, but then he'll randomly drop things like "this is just like the time I gave Newton the entire idea for the law of gravity!" into conversation, pretty much implying that every human accomplishment is thanks to him.

Doctor Who and Mr. Peabody should fight.

BHWW - 2014-03-07

The ultimate meddling time traveler fight between Dr. Who, Mr. Peabody and...Space Moose.

"You can't do that, Space."
"I CAN DO ANYTHING I WANT! I AM THE MASTER OF TIME!"

I wish Hollywood would make more creative crossover movies like those when they run out of ideas, instead of just Alien vs. Predator or Freddy vs. Jason, etc.. Of course I'd like to see Wolverine vs. Batman or something, but that's never going to happen outside of fan fiction. Dr. Who, as far as I know is owned solely by BBC and Rocky and Bullwinkle franchise is owned by Dreamworks now.. it might not be impossible.

IDW Comics managed to wrangle Star Trek Meets Doctor Who. Eleven meets Picard and Four meets Kirk.

Xenocide - 2014-03-07

The Star Trek/Who comic did so well that IDW is currently publishing a series where the X-Files cast meet the Ghostbusters. And later this summer, Samurai Jack will team up with the Powerpuff Girls.

I fully expect and hope that all of IDW's comics just turn into the New Scooby-Doo Movies with a new ridiculous guest star every month. "THIS MONTH, TWILIGHT SPARKLE MEETS SPECIAL GUEST BOB DENVER!"

What if Hasbro refuses to cross over with anyone but itself?

Magic: the Galloping?
O-pone-ration?
Dungeons and Dragons and Also Ponies?
MONOPONY.

Hugo Gorilla - 2014-03-07

Peabody's brain is removed and placed into the robotic shell of K-9.

There's your crossover.

SolRo - 2014-03-07

There are the Detective Conan vs Lupin III that come out seemingly every year now.

infinite zest - 2014-03-07

arg.. thanks for reminding me that there's that CGI movie and it's out now.. although it's not getting horrible reviews. Peabody and Sherman was always my favorite part of Rocky and Bullwinkle, but I think it was because they were about this long. But hell, if it results in little kids exploring old, mostly forgotten classics like this, more power to it.

RocketBlender - 2014-03-07

I have up on the hope the CGI one might have any merits the first time I saw the trailer for it. Not only does the movie have a scene where they escape the labyrinth in the Sphynx by blasting their way way out of it's ass, they felt that particular scene was funny enough to advertise the entire movie.

Scrimmjob - 2014-03-08

I hate CGI Sherman's haircut...

cognitivedissonance - 2014-03-08

I always loved the Mr. Peabody and Sherman board game, which came with plastic hand puppets and insisted on impersonating them.

BiggerJ - 2014-03-08

You know who worked on that game? Warren Spector.
