I grew up in the same area as well. I remember when there were only 5 things in Dorion worth a damn, Dorion Suits, the Miss Dorion strip club/motel with the sign that had a topless woman that years of exposure to sunlight had given a greenish tinge to so she looked kind of like She-Hulk, the KFC (Poulet Frit Kentucky), the Silvery Moon Chinese restaurant, and the last McDonald's before the Ontario border.

Not that Aux Habits Dorion/Dorion Suits was really all that relevant to me as a kid other than thinking it must be something grander than it probably actually was because of all the local advertising.

According to one blog post where I found this ad, this was likely filmed at the Bar-B-Barn on des Sources in Dollard Des Ormeaux.

I'm not entirely sure what happened to Aux Habits Dorion/Dorion Suits, whether it went out of business or whether it was absorbed into a competitor. I think it stopped existing as "Dorion Suits" in the 1990s, though.

Been back that way recently? Has much changed? Haven't been down there in years. So many great memories though.

Eh, I'm in Ontario and the last time I visited Montreal was in October 2011.

The Vaudreuil part of the unified municipality of Vaudreuil-Dorion is a lot more built-up than it was when I was a kid, but that's more the part south of highway 40 but north of Cite des Jeunes.

The main drag of Harwood Boulevard in Dorion is still recognizable. KFC/PFK and McDonald's updated their architecture and other places have come and gone (like Dunkin Donuts, but that chain was hit hard by Tim Hortons all over Canada), but if you time-travelled from the 1980s, it's still the same eyesore it always was.

Except for Miss Dorion, which burned down in 2011, I think just a week or two prior to the last time I passed by, as there were still piles of burnt wood and rubble.
