I study medieval history, and one of the way that we identify anonymous written works is through verbal analysis; looking at what kinds of words are in a document to see how educated, erudite, and inclined to using certain words an author was, and then comparing points of vocabulary with other known authors to see if there are any outstanding statistical or proximal matches.

Someday, somebody is going to analyze the verbal distinctions between the three Star Wars films and the results will be very interesting.
