You'd think that a giant dog who vores children would be popular all over the internet, but strangely, I can locate no fansites, fanart, fanfics, or porn of this. Have any of you heard of this movie before? Was it well known back in the 70s, or was it an obscure release?

Also, forget Digby, I want to know more about Clarissa.

I kinda want to track down this movie, but I'm pretty sure this is the whole movie. Boy gets dog. Dog grows. Dog becomes famous as famous circus dog. Dog escapes. Dog is a hazard to the locomotive industry. Dog is hunted by mercenaries. Dog saves the day by stopping the rampaging Clarissa.

This must be the same as what Everything is Terrible just put up.

Digby's kind of a favorite of mine, not top ten though I don't think. I saw it several times on weekend TV, and later found it was a popular matinee in England.

It's another that I recorded the audio of on cassette, and learned the lines from it. It has a lot of cool moments, Eldon eating Dog food, of course seeing Digby getting bigger is exciting, the psychological evaluation, where Eldon 'suffers from a transference syndrome, and he becomes the Dog'.

I like Dog transformation movies, and in a way it is about transforming, becoming larger. It's like an old fashioned monster movies in a lot of ways, and I dig those, like The Green Slime, or The Blob, but for the kid crowd.

Anyone looking for Digby, I don't know if it's on official sources, but torrent should have it. The official 'Boomer' version is the 'clean' one, the oldest one, at a place like kat.
