"Suspended without pay" fuck that, kill all cops
Potrod - 2014-06-19 Or they can be held to the same laws and punishments as everyone else?
The Mothership - 2014-06-19
Well that's pretty fucked up right there.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-06-19
What's ironic about this is the scared animal look in the eyes of the officer in that mug shot.
Forgive me if I pity the man. If he has children, they're going to hate him after this. What he did was senseless and sickening, and he shouldn't be a cop any more.

infinite zest - 2014-06-19
If you're thinking what I'm thinking ("oh man, he'll probably get 6 months or less.. arg") keep in mind that if he's sent to prison, he's not only a cop, but also a dog killer. Wouldn't surprise me if the COs spent a lot of their shifts with their backs turned.

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-06-19
Weapons grade evil there.
memedumpster - 2014-06-19
Terrorists do less horrible shit to Americans than cops.
Spaceman Africa - 2014-06-19 Cops have killed more people in the US than the total of all terrorist acts committed in the US.
Meerkat - 2014-06-19
Why don't people trust the police more?
BHWW - 2014-06-19
It doesn't sound like the BPD is going to go to the mat for this Bolger fellow, which is better than them trotting out the usual lines about how the officer felt like he had no choice but to use deadly force against a big mean dog.
This case does speak to the sort of creeps that police departments attract, as well as the seemingly increased willingness of law enforcement officers to "solve" even the routine problems with gratuitous violence.

If this was a homeless junkie instead of a cute dog, no one would care.
ashtar. - 2014-06-19 I made myself sad.
EvilHomer - 2014-06-19 So we're not allowed to react to the homeless on an empathic emotional level?
John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-06-19 If it had been a homeless man whose throat was cut, I know I would have cared about it, but there are ways in which it touches me deeper when it's a cute little dog. I just don't think there's anything wrong with that.
EvilHomer - 2014-06-19 So we are allowed to react to the homeless on an empathic emotional level, you just choose not to, because you think homeless people are less valuable than dogs.
ashtar. - 2014-06-20 To be fair, JHMF does kind of have a bad history with homeless junkies insulting him and demanding dick pics. I could see how he might have more empathy for the dog.
EvilHomer - 2014-06-20 I miss orcs. I hope she's OK.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-06-19
I don't think it's fair to rail against the cops. Most of the cops in this video seemed genuinely horrified. Did everyone see the cop in the training video talk about responding to a "viscous dog complaint", and how he wound up adopting the dog? I believe that most cops I've known are good cops. The problem is that sometimes the system protects the bad ones.
John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-06-19 That's also off my point, though not by a half a light year. Apples or barrels or whatever, I believe that a significant plurality, probably a majority, of police do not engage in, sanction, or otherwise suffer the crime of dog murder.
Meerkat - 2014-06-19 I had a viscous dog complaint once, it was that I had a hell of a time trying to get him to run.
oddeye - 2014-06-20 MOST cops are decent folk who put up with tons of human jizz-rags and mental paperwork.

Boomer The Dog - 2014-06-19
I know, that's the complaint the judge had, if my name was Boomer, 911 might think it was a prank call. Now I guess I have something else to worry about.
I've had issues with the cops being clowns before, but I've met some great police, so I guess my cop karma is a bit more on the positive side right now.
