she quotes rational observations others have made and then gives him as much time as he wants to respond/debunk those points.
she then does not call him on any bullshit in his responses and just moves on to her next liberal quote for him to respond to.
she tees up the joe biden quote for Liz to pin some blame on the current administrations "failure" to stay the course
"we wanted out" she says as she agrees with Liz
she lets cheney advertise his new non-profit
"do you think president obama is dangerous?"

this felt scripted to me, and I do not believe that Megyn Kelly agreed with any of the anti-cheney points she raises

First of all, fuck megyn kelly. I'm still not a fan.

On the other hand, it's an interview, and during an interview, the person who is being interviewed is supposed to do the talking. She had a duty to challenge him, not to debate him point by point. I think that would be considered grandstanding by most responsible journalists.

My favorite part is seeing Liz visibly deflate as Megyn goes into her windup. If this was scripted, Liz hadn't seen the script.

Agree with Azmo. Kelly is merely prompting Cheney with liberal arguments so that Cheney can attack them and reassure the Fox News audience that Obama is the cause of everything going bad ever. Kelly is still better than Greta Van Sustren, probably the most quisling personality on cable news.

I can't read their fevered minds, and neither can you, so who knows? But that didn't like pro-forma strawman stuff to me. Of course, they're not going to start arguing with Dick about what a great president Obama is, but maybe they wanted him to get the message that they're not going to give him a free ride.

I don't think that Cheney is very reassuring to conservatives.They don't like him either. His approval ratings as Vice President were generally in the teens. If anything covert is going on here, I think the conservative powers that be may be telling Cheney to shut the fuck up and go shoot some more farm-raised quail-tards.

Cheney is being trotted out to take shots at Obama as Iraq starts its inevitable slide into civil war. It's easier to bring out the architects of the Iraq disaster and slime the guy they handed it off to than letting someone in the media perhaps noting that the pullout was mandated by a treaty Bush signed and that the "legitimate" government of Iraq is headed by pro-Iranians that the Bush admin. helped install.

I might think Megyn Kelly was at last doing a journalist's job, except that she doesn't challenge Cheney on his bullshit answers. So yeah, I have to side with, Megyn is giving Cheney a forum to rebut his critics.
