There were a disturbing number of women obsessed with this series back when; from cat-lady types to the sort of people who would write fanfiction about it back before the Internet, at least as we knew it - I recall hearing someone's account from their time spent at a general sci-fi convention back in the very early 1990s, and the staff had to deal with some very obnoxious woman who raised a fuss about not getting a Guest of Honor badge because she was a famous writer and felt she deserved one; didn't these fools realize how acclaimed her fanfiction stories -- which had featured in issues of a locally published fanzine devoted to the Beauty and the Beast tv series -- were? The one who witnessed described the woman to those of us listening as wearing something like a sequin-studded muumuu made out of black velvet, and had her hair dyed in a shade of purple not found in nature.

It's sad that someone made this.
