This sounds like Tina from Bob's Burgers and Fozzie Bear doing a youtube joke and it's great.

I don't ever go to the "she was asking for it" excuse, but seriously, any woman who finds these books/movies hot really wants to get raped, right?

Nikon - 2014-07-27

I think it's like the kabedon thing where they want the to be hot.

In short: yes, they do, but it's a rape *fantasy*, not an actual desire to be, or intention on getting, raped.

magnesium - 2014-07-27

Nah, most of the women who read these books just don't know good erotica, because these books are terrible.

They are literally an erotic Twilight fan fiction. No really, that is how they were first written on the internet, and then a publisher picked it up and changed the names.

Men and women who like to be "subs" in actual bdsm stuff just like to pretend they have no control in situations in which they really have all the control. It's like, dominatrixes are a mainstream sexy thing because that hot lady might be bossing you around, but she's not *really* bossing you around, because you actually like it.

aren't there already a million fuckflicks with this plot? I understand the book: it's making bored husbands and wives or whatever go "ooh" and maybe work up the courage to ask hubby to "experiment" next time in a few months when they have sex.

Other than that it doesn't look that different from that movie with James Spader and the Hot Sister Chick from Donny Darko.

Because what American peasant girl _doesn't_ dream of being raped by a handsome oligarch?

infinite zest - 2014-07-27

spoil away: is it non-consensual, forced rape or just BDSM play? I want to be curious about what these moms are reading in the park with their kids.

I'd like to read a book where the reincarnation of Rita Repulsa (but she doesn't know it yet) falls in love with an intense and obsessive homeless freelance bouncer.

I could write an outline but I don't know how much a ghostwriter costs these days.

infinite zest - 2014-07-27

haha. 50 shades of so many colors!

infinite zest - 2014-07-27

I'll write it: I'm a freelance ghostwriter bouncer. I bounce ghostwriters for a living bro

No.

BDSM is a way for the most boring ugly people to stomach having sex with each other. You never see attractive socially healthy people go for this stuff, and nobody but the most hideous people look better in a gimp suit.

I used to live next door to a professional dominatrix, and she was literally in the top 20 most boring people I'd ever met in my life. She would try to come off as crazy and interesting by talking about all her clients, but as soon as the conversation moved to any topic outside her work, she clammed up into a shoulder shrugging mumbling wall flower.

Here's the thing about 'So many women have rape fantasies, they want to be raped!'.

What these women are talking about isn't being raped. It's having sex with someone they wanted to have sex with anyway being forceful and 'just bending them back over a table and going to it' (or something along those lines).

IE: Having 'aggressive' sex which they effectively consent to, with someone they're interested in having sex with.

Actually, let's just say it straight out: They consent to this sex, thus, it's not rape in any form, because rape is simply sex without consent. There's consent, even if it isn't voiced, thus, it isn't really a rape fantasy. More a 'forceful (consensual) sex' one.

Of course, in real life, people aren't mind-readers, and consent should be discussed in some manner outside of some sort of fetish arrangement and whatnot and all that jazz, so, you know, well, yeah.

Anyway, all the discussion of 'omg women love rape' often gets pretty gross (not pointing any fingers at anyone in here, just, in general).

Reminds me of the Louis CK bit about the waitress who told him to stop then asked him the next day why they didn't have sex.

"You told me to stop!"

"I wanted you to just go for it!"

"I'm not going to rape you just on the off chance that you'll be into it!"

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-07-27

What's disturbing about this is that, at a time of widespread economic insecurity, wealth and materialism have become the ultimate fetish. The BDSM almost seems like a metaphor for submission to the very wealthy. Visually, the trailer looks about as erotic as a goddamn car commercial.

Nominal - 2014-07-27

That's exactly why I couldn't stomach watching the last Batman movie.

Syd Midnight - 2014-07-27

It is what you might expect if you gave a piece of bad rapey fanfiction to a big producer and held a gun to their head and said "Make 0 million with this idea or you die", which is probably how the screenplay actually got written
