My father's heart stopped at the dinner table when I was 13*. The guy in this is, if anything, underplaying it.




*He's alive and unharmed only though the dumb luck of there having been an ambulance at the end of our street already, on their way back from a false alarm in the neighborhood.

My dad's family have strong hearts (with males living into their late 80s and some women into the 90s); my mothers' family has weak hearts (heart attack killed my bodybuilder grandfather at 55). So I don't know what to expect for me. I think the cancer will probably get me; that or hit by a bus. Either way I smoke my cigars and drink my whiskey, and get enough exercise to still look damn trim.
