why do half the Caucasians in Asian films look like 19th century bank managers?

infinite zest - 2014-08-02

Probably the same reason why half the asians in American cinema are kung fu fighters..

Old People - 2014-08-03

Because the 19th century bank manager was the apotheosis of Caucasianity. Know your Man.

I think Paycheck's still my favorite John Woo movie but Better Tomorrow 2's a close second. Really I like everything he's done except for Better Tomorrow 1's slow pacing and Broken Arrow's very existence.

TeenerTot - 2014-08-03

I really liked Red Cliff, but I only saw the shorter "theatrical" release.

oddeye - 2014-08-03

So is a Better Tomorrow 2 set two days in the future then?

hammsangwich - 2014-08-07

Hard Boiled and it's not even close.

StanleyPain - 2014-08-02

I like how just to get Chow Yun Fat in this film, they cast him as the "twin brother" we were never told existed of his character in the first one.

Also, it's tough to rate this clip because the scene that follows is fucking epic.

Miike did something similar with the DOA trilogy. I liked it. Hey we blew each other up and the rest of the world went with it; now let's be friends!

infinite zest - 2014-08-03

Sorry.. bit of a spoiler there but it's like planet of the apes or soylent green.

oddeye - 2014-08-03

You spoiled the Dead Or Alive trilogy (wtf!?) for me? YOU FUCKING STINK like fried rice.

Scrimmjob - 2014-08-03

Haha, fuck yeah! Fried rice guy shows up in a bunch of Godfrey Ho movies, including my favorite "Clash of the Ninja".
