look at the Palin-Bot try to process "make fun of liberals" and "don't praise the plebes" at the same time!

Quad9Damage - 2014-08-11

This is how she usually answers a question.

SolRo - 2014-08-11

No. This isn't an answer.

Her actual answer to questions is "That's a gotcha question"

zerobackup - 2014-08-11

She's trying to be a political commentator, like Bill Maher or Jon Stewart. She had kind of a jokey rhythm. Unfortunately, jokes don't land if no one knows what the hell you're talking about.

Caminante Nocturno - 2014-08-11

One of the funniest things about American conservatives is their envy of intellectuals, and how it leads to public condemnation with an unwitting desire to emulate them.

HarrietTubmanPI - 2014-08-11

And she ends with the typical WELL MINIMUM WAGE JOBS ARE STEPPING STONES - forgetting that some people have to remain on them for a long time due to circumstances beyond their control, and that the stepping stone is awfully low. It's like they think standing on a thin sheet of paper is going to be the stepping stone to climbing mount Everest..

Oscar Wildcat - 2014-08-11

And in 1975, that was indeed the case. However, in 2014, this is what is supposed to constitute a career option. So sez our Job Creators.

takewithfood - 2014-08-11

I have so many questions, such as "Was this live, or did they choose to leave this in the broadcast?" and "Is she high?" and "What is she high on?"

exy - 2014-08-11

I think they have realized they don't have time to go back for re-takes (it's not like it was going to get any better anyway) because they suddenly need a shitload of content for their Sarah Palin Channel. And: yes, high as fuck, hopefully on something that will cause her liver to shut down or something. Maybe her doctor warned her about not combining meds with alcohol but because she's a conservative she knows better than some over-educated pinko.

TeenerTot - 2014-08-11

A strawman that is also a departure from the point. A traveling strawman, if you will.

She can bite me.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-08-11

Wouldn't Purgatory be a step up from employment in the average fast-food joint?

Tough American Bouncer - 2014-08-11

How big of a cunt you have to be to say that to a recording device?!

StanleyPain - 2014-08-11

"We believe … wait, I thought fast food joints … wait, don’t you guys think they’re like, of the devil or somethin’? Liberals, you wanna send those evil employees who would dare work at a fast food joint that you just don’t believe in, I thought you wanted to send em to … purgatory or somethin’, till they all go vegan. [Pause for laughter.] … and wages and picket lines they’re not discussed in purgatory, are they? Why are you even worried about fast food wages. Well, we believe an America, minimum wage jobs, they’re not lifetime gigs! They’re stepping stones!"

WAT

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-08-11

She said "vegan," so she supplied word salad.

That's the best I can make of it.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2014-08-11

You can watch more of Palin for bucks per month.

Oscar Wildcat - 2014-08-11

She's clearly having some difficulty coming up with something to say when people aren't stuffing money into her g-string.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-08-11

I think even she realized she'd need a shitload of content to get even her sycophantic followers to cough up a 10-spot to get access to her words of wisdom.

PegLegPete - 2014-08-11

I guess being governor of Alaska is a stepping stone for D-list celebrity status. Or court jester.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-08-11

I view this in the same way that I view paying for sideshow freak shows. I mean those aren't around anymore but I view it with the same moral quandary. I...kind of want to see more, but I'm not really willing to pay for it.

Sexy Duck Cop - 2014-08-11

Sure, her delivery isn't the best, but name me one thing wrong with the CONTENT of her ideas.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-08-11

well she said words and alone each word makes sense in a dictionary kind of way. But together I'm confused. I think she should just not try to take on big concept ideas like "fast food" or "vegans"

StanleyPain - 2014-08-11

What content? It's a huge strawman argument that somehow its hypocritical to criticize the behavior of, say, a large fast food chain while at the same time thinking that people who work for them should get paid a living wage.

It's nonsense logic. I don't eat fast food because it's fucking horrible for you. Doesn't mean I can't advocate that the people who work for those companies get paid a decent wage.

I don't smoke weed...doesn't mean I think people who do should go to prison for most of their natural lives. It's the kind of bullshit argument someone as stupid as Palin would make thinking it was CHECKMATE when it's just random nonsense.

Riskbreaker - 2014-08-11

What ideas?

Binro the Heretic - 2014-08-11

I can't even parse her sentences, let alone figure out their alleged content.

Xenocide - 2014-08-11

Purgatory isn't real. But it's still more plausible than a world where working doubleshifts at Burger Tumor is a "stepping stone."

Sexy Duck Cop - 2014-08-11

see the joke is that there's no content either

that's an argument multiple conservatives have, with the pitiful desperation of a Dickensian sea urchin licking watery soup they spilled of the cracks of the workhouse that murdered their parents, made to be multiple times

Raggamuffin - 2014-08-11

Max Headroom is glitching out again and it's worse than ever!

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-08-11

Oh good, I'm not the only one who can't even tell what the hell she is trying to say.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-08-11

So stupid... so unbelieveably stupid... (sob)

Sudan no1 - 2014-08-11

She's been smoking too much meth-laced Alaska-weed.

memedumpster - 2014-08-11

100% wolf urine.

Riskbreaker - 2014-08-11

FINALLY! The way god intended!

infinite zest - 2014-08-11

I got "Go Ahead. Poke The Box."

memedumpster - 2014-08-11

Oh, I didn't get the ad this time, I was commenting on the video.

OxygenThief - 2014-08-11

Set lighting by Vivid Entertainment.

Binro the Heretic - 2014-08-11

And to think, I was worried she would fade into obscurity after the 2008 Presidential election. She's the gift that keeps on giving!

Anyway, yeah, minimum-wage jobs as "stepping-stones"? This is how badly the right wing is stuck in the 1950s. They really believe that shit. Right-wing economists like to spout off about how fast-food workers "aren't the primary breadwinners of the family" which may be so, but avoids the fact many families desperately NEED a second income even if a shitty minimum-wage job is the only one they can get.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-08-11

well as more elderly GOP baby boomers get the joy of working those jobs after losing everything to the real estate market and economic collapse, I'm sure they will learn their lesson up close. One deluded white haired entitled grandparent at a time.

Binro the Heretic - 2014-08-11

I'm surrounded by the fuckers and they just think it's all Obama's fault.

Monkey Napoleon - 2014-08-11

It kind of boggles my mind a little bit how a person's world view can be so utterly dependent on the notion that nobody else exists, and that goods and services they're more than happy to buy should appear in their hands as if by magic. Maybe I'm a kook, but if people want to buy a thing then it makes sense that someone should be paid to make it. Companies aren't willing to voluntarily pay people more money, and consumers sure as shit aren't willing to pay a higher price for their goods and services. The implication is that nobody should be working these jobs and, as a result, these services shouldn't exist.

Think about what they're really advocating for a second: It goes beyond arguably superfluous things like fast food. They don't want people stocking shelves in grocery stores. Retail stores should all work on the honor system. Forget about any kind of hospitality or recreational services.

I also kind of thought it was pretty much accepted that workers not being able to afford the goods they produce was an indicator of a really bad economic situation. Whatever.

Hooker - 2014-08-11

I don't even know what just happened.

Binro the Heretic - 2014-08-11

It's okay. She doesn't, either.

gmol - 2014-08-12

Sarah palin is the best swag rapper there is.

Quad9Damage - 2014-08-13

Who's nailin Palin's brain?

spikestoyiu - 2014-08-13

Minimum-wage jobs are a stepping stone to slightly above minimum-wage jobs.

The Mothership - 2014-11-11

It's like she's taking acting lessons from Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer after he's gone old and senile from smoking rocks.
